Course types Basic 5-day course (Monday to Friday) Level 1.
By hearing the sound of the Japanese language everyday, and by
training to be able to speak about oneself and one’s ideas in Japanese,
one will be able to use the language in every everyday life (shopping,
asking people questions, etc).
Level 2. This course is for those who have
completed level 1 or equivalent to that. One will be able to
speak more in detail about oneself, family and countries, and by
practicing in different scene setting; one will be able to speak
politely. One will also be able to read and write short
sentences.
Level 3. This course is for those who have completed level 2 or equivalent to that. One will be able to speak about social issues, such as housing, health, environments, etc. And one will also be able to read and listen to short sentences about social issues, scientific knowledge (global warming, technology, etc.), and current affairs, etc.
Intermediate course for Japanese Language Proficiency
Test The goal of this course is to achieve the second grade of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test held in December. By studying during the spring and summer semester, one will develop an ability to get one's intention across in everyday life, understand various themes and essays, and to write letters in natural Japanese, etc. During the fall semester one will learn to understand and appreciate social issues via tapes and newspapers, be able to express one's own opinion, and develop one's ability to pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.
Intermediate part-time course Lessons can be selected individually, depending on what one may want to focus on within the Japanese language.
■Grammar class
We provide grammar classes for Japanese Language Proficiency Test preparation.
■Reading class One will practice reading short essays, instructions, newspaper columns, etc., and develop one's reading ability to pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.
■Listening class
One will practice listening to a series of Japanese conversations and/or speeches on various themes, news, etc., and develop one's listening ability to pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.
■Conversation class
One will be able to discuss about various themes, and make presentations about social issues, as well as converse about daily life
■Studying textbook
One will develop one's integrated abilities, by studying textbooks of intermediate level. One will also study kanji.
Saturday class
■Beginners’class
For those who have some knowledge of Japanese grammar but cannot speak smoothly, as well as those who can speak Japanese to some degree but make grammatical mistakes, this class will help one develop the ability to speak smoothly and correctly about yourself, your family,your country, etc. in various daily situations.
■Beginner-Intermediate class
For those who have studied basic grammar but cannot express one's ideas correctly and smoothly, by practicing speaking about various social issues, as well as speaking about oneself and making daily conversation, one will be able to learn to express one's own ideas smoothly.
■Intermediate class
