 Q   How do I apply for a student visa?
 A   Please go to “admission process” on the “Pre-college Course” page.

 Q   Is their a scholarship program?
 A   Yes. Currently there are 3 students receiving scholarships. Please go to “student support” on the “Pre-college course” page.

 Q   Can I have a part-time job?
 A   Students are required to file an application with the Immigration Office for outside activities such as part-time jobs. The Immigration Office will grant permission for a part-time job in the given job category up to a maximum of 28 hours per week. Currently, most students in the pre-college course work within the designated job category at workplaces such as newspaper distributors, factories, restaurants, and convenience stores.

 Q   What kind of course material is used in class?
 A   Please go to “course material” on the “ Pre-college course” and “ Japanese for everyday life course”pages.

 Q   Is there an entrance fee?
 A  Please go to “tuition” on the “Pre-college course” page.
There is no entrance fee for the“Japanese for everyday life course.”

 Q    How many students are there in one class?
 A    The Pre-college course has 15 to 20 students. The Japanese for everyday life course has 5 to 18 students.

 Q   What are the nationalities of the students?
 A    We have many students from China in the Pre-college course. We also have students from Korea, Singapore, and Vietnam. We have students from China, Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, India, Turkey, U.S., Italy, Ukraine, etc. in the Japanese for everyday life course.

 Q   Can I observe a class?
 A    Yes. You can observe classes anytime for free. Please call the school in advance to arrange your visit.

 Q   Can I enter the school on a tourist visa?
 A    You can enter the 3 month (1 term) “Japanese for everyday life course.” Details are provided here.

 Q   Can I enter a course after it has started? In that case do I have to pay the total tuition?
 A    You can enter the Japanese for everyday life course anytime. If you enter the course after it has started, tuition will be charged in advance from the day you enroll.

 Q   Do you provide on-site lessons?
 A    Yes. Details on the Business Japanese course are given here.

 Q    Do you provide private lessons?
 A   Yes. Please call TIJ if you wish to take private lessons. Details on the Business Japanese course are given here.
