Insurance for Foreign Students

Second-year Fees

April students (for one year) 600,000 yen(Tuition,Course material fees for one year & tax included)+60,000 yen(Student administrative fee for one year & tax included)
July students (for 9 months) 450,000 yen(Tuition,Course material fees for one year & tax included)+45,000 yen(Student administrative fee for 9 months & tax included)
October students (for 6 months) 300,000 yen(Tuition,Course material fees for one year & tax included)+30,000 yen(Student administrative fee for 6 months & tax included)
January students (for 3 months) 150,000 yen(Tuition,Course material fees for one year & tax included)+15,000 yen(Student administrative fee for 3 months & tax included)

※Tuition (Course material fees & tax included)& Student administrative fee ( tax included ) may be paid in 4 installments of 165,000 yen due every semester  from the second year of attendance at TIJ.
※Fee discounts apply for April, July, October students who make an advance payment of the full amount of their second-year fees.

Weekday Courses

Basic 5-day course

200 periods for10 weeks/semester 126,000 yen (all course fees are subject to an 8% tax)

※Each course will have a separate fee for textbooks.
※Fees may be paid in monthly installments.
※We will discount 8% of the tuition for students who pay the semester fee in full.

Intermediate Japanese Language Proficiency Test Preparatory Course

※ Tuition depends on the number of lessons students take in a week.

Up to 4 periods/week 780yen/period (without tax)
5~12 periods/week 730yen/period (without tax)
13~16 periods/week 680yen/period (without tax)
More than 17 periods/week 630yen /period (without tax)

※All lesson fees are subject to an 8% consumer tax
※Each course will have a separate fee for textbooks.
※We will discount 8% of the tuition for students who take 20 periods/week and pay the semester fee in full.

Saturday Courses

Beginners’ class (40 periods/semester) 34,000yen (without tax)
Beginner-Intermediate class (40 periods/semester) 34,000 yen (without tax)
Intermediate grammar class (20 periods/semester) 17,000 yen (without tax)
Intermediate conversation class (20 periods /semester) 17,000 yen (without tax)

※All lesson fees are subject to an 8% tax.
※If a notice of absence is received before class begins, the tuition for that class may be carried over to the next semester as long as the student continues to take courses in the next semester.

Refunds

Preparatory Course (Studying in Japan)

  1. In the case that the student’s visa is not granted, the screening fee paid upon applying for visa will not be returned.
  2. After the Tokyo Immigration Bureau approves the student’s visa status, the student must pay the first-year fee (entrance fee, student administrative fee, and tuition for one year). However, in the case that the student is unable to obtain an entry visa to Japan from the diplomatic establishments abroad, the administrative fee and tuition for one year will be refunded.
  3. If a student leaves TIJ without completing the course, 80% of paid tuition for classes after the date of withdrawal will be refunded.

 

Weekday Courses

  1. If a notice of cancellation is received within 8 days after the course has started or before the next class day if there are no classes on the 8th day, the full amount of tuition paid will be refunded.
  2. When withdrawing from the course after 8 days have passed, 80% of the remaining tuition from the point cancellation was notified will be refunded.

 

Saturday Courses

  1. If a notice of absence is received before class begins, the tuition for that class may be carried over to the next semester as long as the student continues to take courses in the next semester.
  2. If a notice of cancellation is received within 8 days after the course has started or before the next class day if there are no classes on the 8th day, the full amount of tuition paid will be refunded.
  3. When withdrawing from the course after 8 days have passed, 80% of the remaining tuition from the point withdrawal was notified will be refunded.
