Report on Covid-19 (14th report)

April 27, 2021

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has declared a state of emergency for the third time from April 25 to May 11. In addition, 12 cities in the northwestern part of Chiba Prefecture, where many of our students live, have taken “pre-emergency measures”. In response to this, TIJ Tokyo Institute of Japanese is taking the following measures.

(1) International student classes

We have already switched to 50% online classes from April 20 (Tuesday). For the time being, we will work to prevent the spread of the infection under this system.

(2) Measures to be taken during the Golden Week holidays

The school will be closed from April 29th to May 5th due to the Golden Week holidays, but we will continue to provide thorough instructions on how to spend the time during the vacation to take care of infection control measures, and we will have a system in place to contact the school immediately if anything happens during the holidays.

3) Office

Our staff will be working from home in shifts until the end of May. The office will be open from 8:30am to 5:30pm as usual.  We would appreciate it if you could contact us by e-mail.
